Power Brake Booster - A brake booster, also known as a vacuum booster, amplifies the force applied to the brake pedal using a vacuum created by the engine. This makes it easier for the driver to stop the vehicle and is typically found in vehicles with power braking systems. In contrast, a brake chamber, or air chamber, is a key component of an air brake system. It converts air pressure into mechanical force to apply the brakes. Brake chambers consist of a diaphragm, push rod, and return spring. When air pressure is applied, the diaphragm moves the push rod, applying force to the brake shoes or pads, engaging with the brake drum or rotor.Cross References
